On 6th of May in Doha (Katar) took place the first lap of Diamond League. First points were played between male high jumpers.
Maximum possible points (10) during the first lap got American Erik Kynard who won with the result of 2.33. The Olympic prize winner achieved this height during the second try and became a winner. World Championship bronze medalist Zhang Guowei tried to rich the same height but all in vain. As a result Chinese sportsman took the second position with a result of 2.31 and entered 6 points on his credit side. The third position took Italian Marco Fassinotti with the result of 2.29m, leaving behind due to number of unsuccessful attempts Robert Grabarz, world champion Derek Drouin, and world champion 2007 Donald Thomas. They all took from 4th to 6th positions. "The host" of competition and Asian record holder Mutaz Essa Barshim took only 7th position with the result of 2.24m, his younger brother gained 9th position with result of 2.15.
Do not forget that next lap of Diamond League of High Jump among men will take place on 14th of May in Shanghai, from that point his season will begin Ukrainian Bohdan Bondarenko.
