On the 13th of February traditional high jump competition was held in Czech town Hustopece, which pleased organizers and spectators due its high results.
Gianmarco Tamberi gained the victory in man high jump competition, renewed Italian record on 3cm and best world season result, which he had established in Banská Bystrica on 4th of February. The competition for Italian sportsman was offered by 25 years old Briton Cris Baker, who took the second place with a result of 236cm (second result in a world season top). Before that time Baker`s personal best was 2.28m. Having improved it on 8 cm, Cris decided to pass 238cm and together with Gianmarco take the grand master`s point of 2.40m. Yet all the attempts were unsuccessful.
The third place took experienced Cypriot Kyriakos Ioanou. It was his first winter season start and his result of 2.32m is considered to be a successful beginning. After unsuccessful try to reach 2.34, Ioanou shifted two remaining tries on 2.36, however, they weren`t effective too.
Levern Spenser from Saint Lucia gained the victory among women. Spenser`s result is 195cm. The second and the third positions with result 193 took Doreen Amata and Hruba Michaela correspondingly. The fourth one was Ukrainian jumper Iryna Gerashchenko with mark 187cm.
